Art Production Manager

Lisbon, Hybrid

At Studio Ellipsis, we don’t just ship projects: we build worlds. We’re a small, elite team of

creators united by one belief: that imagination, executed with precision, can reshape what

games and transmedia experiences mean to people.

We’re looking for a Production Manager, a process-driven operator who thrives on clarity,

structure, and accountability. You’ll work closely with our Producer and department leads to

ensure production pipelines, especially art outsourcing, run smoothly, efficiently & to standard.

This is a role for someone who lives in the details: organizing asset flows, tracking

dependencies, verifying process compliance, and keeping multiple external teams aligned.

You’re not here to direct creativity: you’re here to make sure creative work moves through the

system cleanly, consistently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage day-to-day production schedules across internal and external teams, ensuring

deliverables are tracked, validated, and delivered to spec.

● Coordinate with multiple outsourcing partners, monitoring pipelines, maintaining

documentation, and enforcing submission standards.

● Perform first-pass checks on incoming assets (for naming conventions, format, structure,

and pipeline compliance).

● Maintain and evolve production dashboards, task boards, and asset trackers in Jira.

● Work with the Producer to ensure milestones, stage gates, and handoffs happen on

schedule and at the expected quality level.

● Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and misalignments across teams, proposing and

driving solutions.

● Support art leads by managing feedback loops and ensuring external partners are

aligned with the latest briefs and technical standards.

● Run daily or weekly syncs, keeping everyone informed, accountable, and focused on

what matters most.

You Are

● A seasoned production operator with 5+ years in outsourcing management, art

production coordination, or game production.

● Experienced in art pipelines (3D, environment, animation, or tech art) and familiar with

standard DCC workflows and file structures.

● Comfortable doing technical QA passes on asset deliveries to verify compliance—not

judging artistic quality, but ensuring consistency and readiness.

● Fluent in Jira, ShotGrid, or similar production management tools.

● Exceptionally organized and methodical; you maintain order where others see chaos.

● A clear and concise communicator who follows up relentlessly and closes loops.

● Able to thrive in a hybrid environment with distributed teams and vendors.

● Calm under pressure, dependable, and quietly relentless about delivering results.

Why Studio Ellipsis

about both the craft and the craft’s execution.

work, this is where you’ll do the best work of your career.
