About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Shader Artist with expertise in Unreal Engine to bring

our stylized game worlds to life through stunning real-time visuals. You will play a crucial

role in developing expressive shaders and materials, enhancing visual storytelling and

supporting immersive gameplay experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to

collaborate within a dynamic, creative team and significantly impact the visual quality of

our project.


Key Responsibilities

Design and implement high-quality, optimized shaders and materials for stylized

real-time environments and characters.

Collaborate closely with artists, technical artists, and developers to achieve

cohesive, visually striking game aesthetics.

Prototype and develop shaders and materials that enhance gameplay, narrative

storytelling, and overall visual appeal.

Maintain and optimize shader performance standards across multiple platforms

without compromising visual fidelity.

Work with lighting and environment teams to ensure shaders integrate

seamlessly with the game's artistic direction.

Develop innovative shader techniques and workflows to push visual boundaries.


Required Qualifications

Proven experience creating shaders within Unreal Engine, particularly using

Material Editor (experience with HLSL is a significant plus).

Strong understanding of lighting, physically-based rendering (PBR) workflows,

and real-time rendering pipelines.

Experience shipping at least one AAA or stylized game title.

Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 features such as Lumen and Nanite.

Demonstrated ability to optimize shader performance across various platforms.

A sharp artistic eye, excellent visual judgment, and a collaborative mindset.

Portfolio showcasing your real-time shader work (please include in your

application).


Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Niagara and Unreal Engine post-process effects.

Blueprint scripting or technical art background.

Knowledge of procedural material creation workflows.

Experience working in PvP or PvEvP game.
