VFX ARTIST


We are seeking a highly skilled VFX Artist with a strong background in Unreal Engine

to join our creative team. In this role, you will craft high-quality real-time visual effects

that enhance gameplay and provide clear feedback on player abilities, powers, and

enemy interactions. You will work closely with art direction, design, and technical teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible in visual effects for games.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement high-quality real-time VFX using Unreal Engine’s

Niagara and Material Editor.

- Collaborate with designers, animators, and engineers to create effects that

support gameplay mechanics, player abilities, powers, and enemy interactions.

- Optimize VFX assets to maintain high performance across various platforms.

- Develop shaders and materials to enhance VFX stylization.

- Work closely with lighting and environment teams to ensure VFX integration fits

the artistic direction.

- Research and develop new techniques to push the limits of real-time visual

effects in Unreal Engine.

- Debug and troubleshoot VFX-related issues in collaboration with the technical art

team.

- Maintain a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and advancements

in VFX technology.


Required Qualifications

- Proven experience as a VFX Artist in the gaming industry with at least one

shipped game.

- Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred), including Niagara,

Material Editor, and Blueprints.

- Strong understanding of real-time rendering techniques, shaders, and particle

systems.

- Proficiency with 3D software (Maya, Blender, 3ds Max) and 2D software

(Photoshop, Substance Designer).

- Knowledge of procedural VFX workflows is a plus.

- Understanding of game optimization techniques for VFX.

- Experience working in a multiplayer game environment, with a preference for

PvEvP experiences.

- Ability to take creative direction, iterate on feedback, and adapt to project needs.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.


Nice-to-Have Skills

- Scripting knowledge (Python, HLSL, or Blueprints) to enhance VFX workflows.

- Familiarity with destruction and physics-based effects.
